Tim has over 8 years experience in geotechnical design and construction of both building and civil engineering projects. He joined Ramboll UK (then Whitby Bird and Partners) as a graduate in 2001. He is now an Associate and is the discipline manager on a range of projects in the UK and overseas.

Tim is has a broad knowledge of most areas of geotechnics and specialises in urban geotechnical design. His experience in the analysis of soil/structure interaction using numerical methods has been extremely valuable when predicting the impact of constructing next to third party assets. His involvement in numerous complex urban projects has resulted in developing good working relationships with organisations such as LUL, Network Rail and Crossrail.

Tim has co-authored a number of technical publications that cover topics such as testing foundations for potential future reuse and the prediction and live monitoring of tunnel movements below new developments.
