Simon Rawlinson
Simon is a Chartered Surveyor and heads up Davis Langdon's 20 strong Research and Development team. He became a Partner in 1999.
Prior to joining Davis Langdon, Simon practiced as a Cost Consultant with Building Design Partnership.
Simon is responsible for Davis Langdon’s cost research activities including market forecasting, building-focused research and publications. Simon is a member of the CPA forecasting panel.
Davis Langdon has been tracking price trends for over 30 years and publishes its own quarterly tender price forecast in Building Magazine.
Simon's research interests include market forecasting, construction cost and value. Simon and his team have provided a continuous commentary on the current market downturn.
As the lead author of many of Davis Langdon's contributions to Building Magazine, he has an extensive knowledge of the cost and value drivers affecting a wide range of building types and sectors. He has also written extensively on industry issues including off-site manufacture and sustainability.
