Joe Sumners is an Arup Director & Building Services Team Leader specialising in large multi-disciplinary projects. His experience covers the development of strategic processes, conceptual designs and the translation of these into appropriate implementation plans
He has been involved with a wide range of high rise mixed use building projects, both in the UK and overseas, with a number of internationally respected architectural practices (including Guangzhou West Tower [450m], China with Wilkinson Eyre & Sports City Tower, Doha [300m] with Arep). He has a strong track record in the successful design, management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
More recently Joe was the Arup M&E Project Director on the Shard of Glass Building at London Bridge [300m] with Renzo Piano Building Workshop. He led the project through from Scheme to Tender stages.
